Cleaning plastic fuel tank

I want to bring my remote plastic outboard fuel tank, fuel line and bulb back into action.
It has been lying in the garage for 10 years with the dregs of 2 stroke fuel in it.
What is the best method of cleaning it?

i would just wash it out with clean fuel empty it through a strainer into a container and re-use if its just two stroke mix and not water that way you should get most of the sediment out if any. same with fuel line take the end off and flush through.

I'm sure the old fuel would be okay, but you could always run a 2-stroke strimmer or a 4-stroke lawnmower on it and drain tank completely. Regards the fuel bulb, I'd be inclined to renew. They deteriorate with age, so genuine or Quicksilver part gives you peace of mind. Also check the 'o' ring on the engine connection. They crack and deteriorate with age too. Again fit genuine part.
