controls

does any one know where to find a control box to fit a late 80s evinrude 30 ?
dont need elec start or ptt.
will quicksilver ones fit?

Not sure about quicksilver ones but a mate had an old Johnson 35, and had Ultraflex controls that worked qutie well, believe they are quite cheap, not sure of a supplier though.

quicksilver wont fit.
Ultraflex single lever about 70£, twin lever about 50£

thanks for your advice, £70 seems cheap enough.
can you supply one paul f?
also will i need new control cables or will it fit the old ones?

Pretty much anything will fit as long as it's not mercury and you buy the adapters. There's adapters available for Johnrude to genuine morse too- I put a set on a Johnson 25 last year.

Try these as well-dual lever but cheap with what should be the right cables (as long as they are long enough!)

Bear in mind cables are >£20 each.

A little kit will be required to adapt old cables and if you cant get them more local then yes to both
