Delphi 296 Fuel Filter / Water Seperator

Gents,

I need some advice please from those that are familiar with the CAV type water / fuel sepearator.

I recently ordered a Delphi 296 fuel filter which included 4 O rings, 2 large for the filter and 2 small. On looking at my filter housing the 2 smaller rings included with the new filter are a lot smaller (diameter and thickness) than what is currently fitted to the drain tap and to the bottom of the glass bowl. As they have both degraded quite badly, i don't want to risk re-using the originals.

Any ideas where i can buy the correct O rings or are the 2 small rings ok to use!

Many thanks

Gibbo

The small O rings are for the fixing bolt which runs through the aluminium lower bowl and the filter element into the top of the housing.
If the supplied ones are too small (cos you've got a clear bowl with drain port), I'd suggest you try a motor factors or diesel specialist for the right ones.

Bloody hell, how difficult is it to get hold of these washers! Ended up ordering a complete bolt /tap assembly, only £6.95 so not the end of the world.

For future reference, has anyone managed to buy them and if so where?

Cheers
