wonder if they will release them to the public long term?

i assume they will very expensive as they were built for the navy, even though looks like mostly a normal optimax.

can't be too far off for one of the big boys to give the public one though...bring it on

cheers

Yeah Only in America
Always amuses me to read the sales blurb of respective (Same) products (especially Outboards it seems) in the US and EU.
Not too many things to commend it but (EU consumer legislation)is ALOT better at making Manufacturers go easy on the Porkies!

After doing all the Hard work, and miles seems a shame you never made it out.

The camo caps and racing fraternities are not subject to the same emissions rules as Leisure Users.

If T-D works for Barrus then that would fit - they set these things up for the UK Military.

Big Thumbs Up for Scott at Barrus, BTW, he did "the right thing" for me recently!

Oh what the hell - a few bananas too!

Would be nice. I'd far rather have the room of an outboard and be sat on a tank of something a lot less likely to go bang.

I used to have a petrol Sportscruiser. The kids mid cabin was located over the fuel tanks. Big batteries, lots of electrical systems.

Like I said...I spoke to the Guys at Ribcraft who TESTED it!
I was due to take mine out and compare....but was told not to Bother!
They are Still a long way from Matching a decent Petrol in terms of out and out performance!... although I'm sure if they(Mercury) or US Defence department decide to throw a load of money at it...but why would they?? With the U.S. wed inexorably to The cheap 'Gas' the Vast Fracking industries have unlocked.
...Stranger things in the outboard world do happen!.
..for instance the MAJOR investment by BRP in the the "NEW"E-tec and old 2stroke tech....although it's a shame they don't put some more resources into more UK/Europe Back up IMO.
Time... as always will tell!

Why would fracking produce cheaper petrol moreso than diesel? My physics teacher told me about something called the refinery scale and that is was all 'boiled' out of crude oil. I always thought that he was lying ba****rd?!
