Does this fuel economy site work?

Liters | Mercury - Evinrude - Yamaha - Suzuki - Honda - Tohatsu - Outboard Fuel Consumption per Hour LPH

I am sure you guys have seen this before.

If so, are the fuel return figures realistic as a guide?

thanks

It's alright using these things for me I like realistic consumption on the Scottish sib outing

Mariner 40 2 st 4.2 m boat (sib) 40 ltrs for 90 miles
Suzuki 25 4 st 3.65 & 4.25 boats 30 ltrs (Sib'S ) 90 miles
Tohatsu 20 4 st 3.5 m boat 20 ltrs (sib) 90 miles
From memory but about right that was for every day boating some WOT some tick over a good bit of crusing around 3/4 throttle.

Looks about the same as what I see on my e-tec 115 from the icommand gauge. Saying that it also uses a bit more than it claims too.

Accurate consumption for my outfit (6.5mtrs 130hp Honda) averaged over 800 Nautical miles (920 statute) cruising in various conditions from glass flat calm to 2 to 3 meter swells. Speeds between 17 & 25Kn dependent on conditions was 1.13kn per ltr.

Or translated......about 18.5ltrs/hour

WOT figures are kind of pointless because your not going be running around at full throttle all the time, mother nature ain't gonna allow that
