E-tec suddenly burning less fuel?

Does anybody know whether it is possible that my E-tec 250 behind my Scorpion 8.1
(4 blade revolution prop) is suddenly using a lot less fuel at WOT? It has been in use for 28 hours now.
It was burning something like 75l/hour @ WOT and suddenly, when I was using it last time, it burned only 43l/hour @ WOT. Is this normal (due to break-in expired???) or could
there be a problem with the gauge?
Thanks very much in advance for any help.

Broken fuel flow sensor?

That's what I did before. Just filled her up today; according
to instruments I should have used up 100l since last time,
however I put in 228l! So probably some flow sensor broken?

Thanks very much for the information. Is it easy to replace the sensor, or, since the engine
is still under guarantee, is it better to see a dealer?
