Early 1980 mariner 40hp tilt?

Hi all, I have googled around and not found out much about this. Is it possible to get hold of a power tilt system to out on a 1982?? Mariner 40 hp at all?

If so, where/what is best. The engine itself is a great little runner so I didn't want to replace the whole thing just for power tilt.

Hi , Power trim was never available on that engine and was only optional on the 50hp upwards

There are Powertrim brackets that you screw in between the Transom and the motor.

They're quite costly though

I think the Panther Trim&Tilt 55 is what you need, though, i have no experiences with those

price is steep. I managed to get one cheap on fleebay you could also use a power tilt and trim unit from another and bolt a plate to it to mount the motor to.
