Got a buddy with another eBay account? Get him to buy one of this guys LED things for £3.50 on a BIN and arrange for him to collect it, you go with and when he opens the door tell him you've cone to collect the engine as well...

Be worth the £3.50 to see the look on his chevy chase..

If he answers at least I’ll know it’s just me he’s ignoring about the engine.

I’ve tried requesting his details as in Nos’s link, but he’s carefully added them so they are useless. His ebay name in the address fields etc.

I'd report him to ebay for that anyway, the whole point is you are supposed to be able to tell who you are transacting with when you both exchange details.

Well, he's finally got round to replying to me, along with the many other questions he's received today

Aparently the auction was a test that he didn't even realise was actually listed, and the engine involved was left at his old flat and sold by his old landlord.
I'm considering my feedback, but am going to let him sweat a few days before leaving it

presumably some people might bid on some of his items this week as "a test"! Ebay fees can quickly rack up and its a right PITA to claim them back!

ha ha numpty, not to mention listing fee's - the final value selling for fee for that would be £5.60 then
