Electrolux Penta E4 refurb??

I have inherited the above engine and whilst it is in good overall condition and turns over freely, I wonder if it worth spending any money trying to get it going??
Parts supply would seem to be an issue, unless anyone knows anything different ....
An example is shown below

Not really, it's the predecessor to Crescent and Archimedes Penta. I have a feeling it might be a Gardner aircooled lawnmower motor under the cowl.

If it fires up, use it til it makes a better anchor than a motor.

Looks like it's related to the Ailsa Craig/Tomos 4hp. Used to have a 4hp Ailsa Craig as a kid, simple not much to go wrong.

I see the threat is a few years old, but maybe you are still looking for answers. I am sure this is not an Crescent/ Archimedes, but the design is from Tomos. The type is called 'Tomos 06n', it is an aircooled 4 hp 2stroke engine. Really reliable engines. Sometimes parts may be hard to find, but I do have almost all parts in stock (new and used)

I had one of those too. We had it on a tiny Metzela in the late 60's
