Elpto?

Might be a bit of a stupid question but what does ELPTO stand for with outboard engine.

I'm assuming they are 2 stroke and something like HPDI or Optimax??

Thanks

Nigel

It stands for something along the lines of ELectric Power Trim and Oil injection.

So it's not as exciting as HDPI!

I think JK has it right......

Its power trim and oil injection. (as per most/all biggish two strokes). Not Optimax, Ficht/DFI or HPDI as the manugacturers tend to shout that out lound as it means "whizzy fuel injection system that we can charge you a pile more cash for !)

Could be wrong, but i think there is one more variable:

E - electric start
L - long shaft
PT - Power trim
O - Oil injection / autolube whatever you wanna call it

Daniel,

I think that JK is right about this one.
