Engine and trailer service cost?

Coming up to 3 years on evinrude 50hp outboard. Anyone know what price I should expect for just a basic service assuming all is well. Also is a trailer service worth having if all is fine on it?

Engine service will depend what you are expecting. Is it an impellor change? Its a bit like my car service costing £100 for the basic annual but if its a 4 year one it will be 3-4 times that.

On the trailer. If its all fine. Probably not. But to know its all fine would you not have serviced it? You presumably mean nothing is obviously broken. Is it braked? Brakes need serviced. Bearings need serviced (cleaned, checked and regressed minimum) often worth changing anyway. If genuinely doing nothing then would expect under £50, but budget £100

Motor: If you are doing the recommended 3-year maintenance, or worse yet, the accumulated maintenance over a 3 year period, and having it done at a typical shop, get ready for a shock.

My Yam F115's 1 year service was something like $400 US. In looking at what was done, the only thing that gave me any pause was the impeller change, which turned out to be somewhat involved, but easy enough to do on my own.

As to the trailer, I'm not really sure what would be done to service it. Could be anything from "check for loose bolts and check tire pressure" to "replace and repack bearings, change brake shoes, grease everything else, retorque fasteners". Dunno.
