Engine brand ????
Guys
I am about to finish my Delta 5.5 project. I need the engine, have considered 90-115 HP.
If money was no object, what to choose. Mercury, Suzuki, Yammi or ???
Cheers from Denmark
Thomas

Engine brand ????
6 different people are going to give you six different answers. All engines should work fine. You have to decide what is most important, performance aspects, reliability, economy. They are not all mutually exclusive. You can find horror stories for all engine brands. 2-strokes can weigh less than 4-strokes but I weight 100lbs more than most people but that's never discussed. 2-stokes supposedly have better "hole shots" but if I cruise for and hour do I care if I got on plane 4 seconds faster? One of the biggest is to make sure you have a reputable service location for your chosen brand. Maintenance is key.

Ahh! I see, well i was going to suggest the Etec 115, but as the 115 & the 130 are more or less the same engine, you might as well put the 130 on. 👍

If your talking brand new, then it would be the Yamaha F115. They have recently introduced an all new version of their F115 & its a lot lighter at 171kgs) & 10% quicker acceleration than the old F115

If I was putting a new motor on I would have no hesitation -- Etec every time.
