Folks has anyone details on the following engine?

Mariner 09978428 1998 30ELO

Is the year correct for the serial and where do I get a good workshop manual for this outboard. Anyone have a owners manual?

it built in 1998 as per decal ,but the age is from when it was registered, if it wasnt registered then you would have to go by the 1998 on the decal.
owners manual can normally bought from any merc/mar deal, or you can download from the brunswick sight how to do it are on previous posts
