Yes that's it, item 37 was fitted the wrong way round and the metal rod item 41 was fitted on the other side so operated item 37 the opposite way. The metal rod had been bent into a different shape as in it's correct shape would be too long.
It's all working fine now but I did have to file the end stops on item 37 a little so it fitted fully over the engine tilt bar.
That may be why your engine was not locked in reverse.
