Dum de dum.
It sounds like an etec, but looks like a gay, red-neck bass-boat effort.

That was after Jan Falkowski made a mess of it when he flipped it - luckily without serious injury - see the exclusive photos and story in Sports Boat and Rib next month! :-)

I heard a rumour, albeit 3rd hand, that cookies engineering skills ain't up to much, and his motor got ever so slightly "cooked" due to a slight oversight when he did a powerhead swap, it came to a sudden stop on the kilo due to an overheat situation.
This was then compounded later in the day when having got it running, it again came to a sudden stop due to no fuel. Must have been running a bit lean prior to that.

Shouldn't listen to rumours!
Rob Mcarthy borrowed my powerhead (OCRDA) and going to the warm up area realised there was no water coming out of the tell tale so he got a tow back - I had nothing to do with fitting the engine or the gearbox! The boat never got as far as the kilo.
Also I don't know anything about Rob running out of fuel, maybe he can clear that one up?
ps Well done to Hutchy, I think I'm going to need a lot more power to beat that!
