Etec 30hp impeller and thermostat DIY?

My Evinrude E-TEC 30hp 2011 DPLIIH overheated on Day 1 of my holiday. The local engineer found the thermostat had seized and the impeller was not in great shape. Unfortunately the parts didn’t arrive in time to fix it before we came home. I’ve now got a new thermostat and springs, and a water pump repair kit is in the post.

I’ve read the service manual and watched various videos (including from the excellent Dangar Marine) and I am wondering whether it could be a DIY job.
The only tool I don’t currently have is a torque wrench.

Of course it depends on whether my DIY skills are up to it, but have you done these jobs yourself and how difficult were they in practice?

Thanks
Adam
