Evinrude 35hp Prop Size

Hi all. I have an Evinrude 35hp that is used to power my mk11 Zodiac sib. The current prop is marked 10 x 15. Does anyone know if this is the correct prop for this setup? I'm not sure what type of boat the motor was used on before I bought it. We don't carry much weight in the sib so there isn't much to push along. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Adam

I think you're pretty close. I had a 10X13 on my MkIIc with Evinrude 25. I tried a 10X15 and it was OK for one guy, but bogged a bit with a heavier load. Went back to 10X13 for general use. I think I made about 25 mph max. You might try whatever is the next higher pitch spec.ed for that motor. BTW, that was a 2 cyl. If yours is a 3 cyl. you could have a lot more torque.

Thanks for the advice. The ob is a 2 cylinder, it feels quick as it is but want max speed, though I am still to alter cav plate height and a couple of other tweeks so they should also make a difference.
