Evinrude bolts use which thread pattern?

During an impellor change I snapped 5 of 6 gearcase bolts I now need to replace them

luckily for me one was missing so I have a good bolt hole to test various sizes and pitches

I know which bolt it is I need, Evinrude 0341206

But I am looking at £50+ for 6 bolts

a step for a hint would be good.

its a mid 90's 15hp 2stroke

If they are course thread they will likely be unc if they are fine then unf
Consult a thread chart for the core diameter of your bolt hole to determine between 5/16" 3/8"or possibly 1/2"

I assume it’s the bolts that have a 3/8 head if That’s W the ones you mean are 1/4 whitworth. If your coming to DUNDEE soon go to the non ferrous waste recycling centre at the West dock gate. I just weighed in 3 ton of alloy pics. (All outboards) there are atleast 3x 9.9/15 up in the heap. Try find a long shaft they have 6 bolts like what you need! There would have been more but Beamishken was over last night and took 5 engines.
