Evinrude E Tec engine on fuel?

What is one of these like on fuel to run on a 5.8m boat?
Are they cheaper or the same as a 4 stoke?

My 90 etec seems to be about the same as a similar 4 stroke ,
I say that because it uses just a bit more than my suzuki 704t did on a smaller boat .
Approx 3/4 litre a mile .
I guess you also have to include oil but its pretty frugal with that ,

I have a 115 Etec and get at 25 knots cruising speeds around .8 litre per NM.

140 4stroke

Did 71 miles yesterday for 57ltrs. 90% of this was at 4-4500rpm (25knots ish) 1.24 miles per litre or 0.83 litres/ mile. 22' prop, 2 up + usual crap + full tank(180ltrs)
