Evinrude water inlet

I'm only in my second season with outboards and with my old Evinrude 55. I want to adjust it whilst running out of the water. There doesn't seem to me an obvious water inlet point where I can attach a hose connector and nothing on the manual. There is a 4-5mm crosshead screw right next to the starboard water inlet slots above the cav. plate. Is this the connection point? The diameter seems a bit wee!

I’m not familiar with your engine but I think you might need to use engine muffs which in a lot of ways are easier than a dedicated flushing point Des
