evinrude XD100 oil
being new to the E-tec club, and we sure put a lot of miles on it in Scotland last week ...where is the lowest price to get the XD-100 oil. I was going to say cheapest but the word cheap doesn't really fit alongside this oil. Quinquari looks well priced but the shipping adds a lot to it, but they all will I expect.
cheers

yep the shipping does it! 3x seems the best shipping price. May have to go with that.
Thanx

Last time I bought some a 6 gallon case with shipping from Quinquari was still much cheaper than buying it locally. See if there is anyone else locally who wants to go in on an order and share the carriage costs maybe?

You can buy barrels of it to fill cans at home (assuming you do enough hours to justify it)

Looks like £1,850 for 55 gallons on ribstuff. So need to use a lot to justify it!

Chris floated the idea of a collective barrel buy a couple of months back, but it never took off. I buy mine off Mike Vincent, but you have to collect due to problems with carriers & liquids. Hadd got some at handy money recently, but I don't know where from.

Is it financially worth buying the XD oil? Does it use less than on the TC W3 setting?
Or is just a quality thing?

Uses about 30% less, but you get zero smoke or carbon build up, which is a 2 stroke killer

Dave, I missed the bulk buy as I didnt reply, but my issue would be storage of my share of the barrel until I needed it

Steve, the bulk buy never happened, the numbers didn't add up when you looked at it, plus the logistics would be a nightmare.

oo-er don't need that much - I hope!
Kwil has found it newly reduced at £44 ish per US gallon at Liverpool powerboats. I'm ordering some in the morning for daughter to collect some time in the next week (maybe even tomorrow depending on what she is doing) Steve if you want some but it may well be as near for you to go and get it direct as for me to buy it and hold it here for you to collect from Fleetwood ???? Let me know as soon as eh

Good price, just read the blurb on their website. For the record XD50 is not used at 50:1 & likewise XD100 isn't used at 100:1 by the engine, that's bollocks. The engine varies the amount of oil depending on load. The XD100 setting uses about 30% less overall than the TCW3 setting. Hard acceleration uses more oil, high speed cruising uses more oil than chugging about, don't be misled into believing that XD100 = 100:1
