Flushing while on holiday

Hi guys,

I'm planning on taking my SIB and 5hp honda camping with me to Anglesey/the Llyn in the next few months.

My question is.. how can I flush the outboard after use? do i need to find a marina that will let me, or will it be ok to wait 3 or 4 nights until i get home and i can do it there?

thanks
Rich

Just wait unil you get home - read the thread about the hose pipe ban and you'll see how long people leave their engines before flushing - it seems 4 days is nothing.

Sorry,... read the title and thought you were planning a holiday somewhere in Greece!

As said above, i'm sure your outboard will survive without being flushed for a few days..

I was told by a respected Evinrude & Avon/Zodiac main dealer that if the engine was being used regularly (at least weekly or more) that end of season (or end of regular use period ) flushing would be adequate, so I wouldn't worry about not flushing for 3 or 4 days.
Obviously if you can flush after every use, thats probably better.
