Fuel/Oil Hose 200ETEC
Morning all.
It looks like I have a nice condition 2014 200ETEC lined up for The Nashers Revenge when the owner gets it swapped for a newer engine after X-Mas.
In the mean time I can do some prep work and gather the bits and pieces I need to swap it out for my old DT200EFI.
I’m also upgrading and re-fitting some areas of the boat at the same time.
Rather than bother the owner with a couple of questions, I thought I’d consult the collective Oracle.
Fuel hose. I assume it will require 3/8”ID (@10mm) hose?
2-Stroke Oil tank. Is it under the engine cover on a 200ETEC? Or is it a separate tank to mount in the boat?
If a separate tank, what ID hose does it require?
Thanks
Nasher.

The oil tank is separate. I used the same hose as the fuel hose on mine.

Thanks PD, can you remember what ID Hose you used?
I'm hoping it's 3/8" as that's what I'm using for the old DT at the moment, so the tank outlet and filtration is all set up for it. I've seen somewhere, but can't find it again, that the 200ETEC is meant to run 1/2" (12mm) ID hose, but find that hard to believe.

I used 3/8” but that was on a 115hp.
Afaik it’s 3/8” across the range but I wouldn’t bet your engine on it. On a side note, the battery electrics have to be spot on with the Etecs, solid clean connections, quality isolators if fitted. It’s possible to blow the EMM if there’s an open circuit on the battery side with the engine running.
Best place for all Etec info is the Etec owners group, just be patient with the cousins[emoji57]. If you look on the BRP website, you can download the owners manuals which have the rigging info.

Thanks PD, that's really good info.
I was planning on a pair of new batteries and cables, I now have crimp tooling for larger cable than I installed years ago, but wasn't looking to replace my ancient but robust and reliable battery selector switch.
Perhaps I should budget for something more sophisticated to be safe.

If possible ask for an engine printout before you part with any cash. This will show if the EMM is working properly. I might have a spare engine diagnostic cable kicking about somewhere, can’t remember if I’ve sold it or not. The software can be obtained online. I have the older software which was good for engines up to 2010my. It will work with newer engines but won’t have full functionality.

If you have the old lead knocking about let me know how much you'd like for it.
The engine will be removed by a dealer and palletised using what the owners new engine comes in, I've already asked him to get the dealer to run the engine up and supply a report on it before I part with any more than a deposit
