Fuel Stabilizer

I'm putting my RibEye into storage this weekend for the winter months (and to do some maintenance).
I will leave it with a full tank to reduce water vapour, but can anyone recommend a fuel stabilzer?

I would recommend using Quicksilver Quickare in season;
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151889601992
Or Quicksilver Quickstor over winter
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181505261382
Not cheap though for big tanks!

Wynn Oil UK

From the motorbike forum I frequent, Wynn's Dry Fuel seems to be popular.

Wynns Dryfuel isn't a fuel stabiliser, it enables the fuel to take up water from your tank. In my experience of using it on motorbikes, it actually makes it harder to start your engine.

If you want fuel stabiliser, try a quick ebay search-there's loads of brands. Briggs and Stratton also sell a brand usually available at garden centres too for storing mowers etc that'll do the job just as well.

I use Sta-Bil in all my 2-stroke garden implements (which get a lot less use than they should.) I've used 2 year old fuel mix with no problems.

I know that procedure is to have full tank for Winter PLUS stabilizer.

But Parker/Racor dealer when asked about RACOR 120R filter advised me to have less than half tank for winter. Tank on boat has ventilation and fuel is loosing octanes ... (he stated). Not sure who is right for build tanks having ventilation.

1. The school to have full tank including stabilizer
2. Or the school have less then half and add (ones) some high octane on beginning of season

If I remember some people here stated that they never has been using stabilizer.
Maybe it is OK for plastic portable tank without ventilation (or tank in which you can close ventilation).

I have revert question: Where is best time to change fuel filter in boat ?
Before new Season or after few first trip (not sure if filter catch anything caused by long preserving and stabilizing fuel).

I'm going to change my filter to RACOR 120R 10 microns 114 lph.
I have good offer for it and I do not trust my "taiwan no name filter"

Last year I just topped up with super (high octane ) at end of season and had no issues using super for first couple of trips out, this year I added stabiliser to the super as a precaution hope to be back on the water by March at the latest for £4 of stabiliser seemed worthwhile when putting £65 of fuel in!

I wasn't going to winterise but not been out for a month and tho was my last free weekend before Christmas and I'm away for the Boxing Day run out.....

SDS sheet doesn't mention shelf life under storage so suspect it's ok till used up so long as it's stored correctly but does say treats fuel for up to a year so treated fuel must be used I would think within that period.

I get that the treated fuel ok for Max 12 months. Hoping that the fuel treatment is longer........ As you say me mention of life span on the bottle or lifespan after opening..... If anyone local wants 2/3 of a bottle let me know lol also got most of a can of fogging oil.....
