Good service - Credit where credits due.

Had the boat into Michell Outboard Services in Renfrew to get a few things sorted, got given a date to bring it in which didn't slip, had a sensible intial discussion when I dropped the boat off followed by really good comunication and a swift resolution of the issues. Didn't charge a ridiculous bill all things considered.

Having used a number of the other local 'professionals' in the surrounding area I can recomend Mitchells 100%.

GordP/Jambo the next time either of you go in there tell the old boy that uncle al is still alive and kicking, and the next time I am up that way I will give him his tea bag back. (he sent me a teabag because he said "I was always drinking tea and he felt sorry for me)

Sadly I didnt have the same experience .... dropped my RIB off at the agreed date which was booked 3 weeks prior to this date .... the collection date was agreed to be a week after dropping off as I was going on holiday, a day later but when I checked a day before collection, they still hadnt looked at it, and only gave an indication that they might be able to, so I had to push all my own winding down arrangements to one side to do the work on the boat myself, which left me very pushed for time and stretched to say the least. If they didnt have the manpower or time, they should never had accepted my booking, I was very annoyed

I wanted it inspected in good time incase any parts were required and could be fitted before its return date. I didnt get the impression they wanted the work

In their defence .. during my service work, I needed a fairly basic part which they didnt have in stock, but they 'aquired' one quickly

So .. mixed bag from me I'm afraid

Hi Gordy

Glad you had a good experience as most of us work very hard to keep clients happy. Michells have been around for years and are by far the biggest outboard service company around glasgow and the clyde.

Obviously I am working v hard to change that but credit where credit is due and nice to see someone saying thank you.

Dave
