Great Engine?

http://www.dynacam.com./Product/product.html

Key Specifications
200 HP @ 2000 RPM
175 HP @ 1600 RPM
650ft.lb torque @ 1200 RPM
525ft.lb. torque @ 2000 RPM
120 kgs Dry Weight
13" Diameter x 40" Length

Compare this to my Mermaid which produces 140 hp and weighs ½ a ton ish
It is only 13” dia so I could fit it under the deck and use the engine bay as a Jacuzzi Des

Wow
Interesting design.
140hp at tickover and heaps of torque.
That will brings tears to your clutches eyes.

I think to get the best of this engine you’d have to go clutchless direct drive to a hydraulic pump which is something I‘d love to do because you have much more freedom of design and what you can do with the power. Things like bow thrusters, anchor winches, wash down pumps and due drives are only a question of running a few pipes (and spending money) Des

Des
I contacted dynacam and asked about a smaller engine. They have a design for one, 90-100 HP, 350 ft.lbs tourqe! 9 inches in diameter!!!! They are searching for more backers but I rekon we havnt heard the last of this. Wait till formula 1 gets their hands on it.
