Halmatic pacific 22 Yanmar engine and jet drive.

Hi, I had a turbo failure in my 4lha-ste and got quoted many thousands to repair.
I decided to convert to a 250hp outboard because I've got good use of the engine space for diving equipment and a generator.
Does anyone know what sort of money is in the Hamilton Jet 241 and also if there's much demand for parts to break the whole engine.
The engineer was going to rebuild head, replace a barrel liner, piston rings, shells, recon the turbo and some pipework needed replaced because of corrosion.

The tips of the impeller broke off. One of the barrel liners has a hairline crack which may have been caused by it but, that piston seems undamaged. He said there was a little bit of pitting in the head too from what i remember but, I've not had a chance to have a proper look since I only got the engine back today.

a liner crack is an unusual thing to be caused by a turbo failure did the turbo fail due to over speeding possibly by boost leak in pipework is it wet or dry liners in these engines?

Liners rings pistons shells etc are eyewateringly expensive from yanmar and its a yanmar built engine so no alternative source of parts. That said it will break for spares quite well a refurb in parts alone will be in the region of 4-5k
