Help - etec injectors

I have fuel leaking out one of the injector pipes on my etec 175.

It's the pipe that connects into the injector have had a quick look but I can't seem to see how they connect.

I have the next week off to boat but now it's not looking good!

Any idea,s

yes, that metal plate should retain the pipe. Have you had that out?

No, never had it out - so its a little worrying as to how long its been broken.

I remember seeing staining on the block a long time ago but never worked out where from and thought it must of been before I owned it.

Looking at the service history its had an injector replaced - but that was a very long time ago now - worrying times but lucky it didn't bust into flames.

A little gutted though, as I got a little excited thinking it would be a whole lot quicker now it had a full fuel supply - but nope, its about the same

Really lucky but to be honest they are a really tight tight fit even without the retainer.
