Help identifying Honda outboard

Hi,

I am new to both this forum and ribs and was advised by my local Honda agent to approach you for information they were unable to supply. On reading numerous posts and replies I have confidence that if you guys can't answer my question directly you will be able to point me in the right direction. Anyway I will stop waffling and get to my question.

I have a Honda outboard engine, long shaft and would like to find some information about it (year, model number etc). The serial number stamped on the engine block is BAJE 1003799 and I believe it to be 30hp, I was told by the origional owner that it was imported to the UK from spain.

I have spoken to Honda UK who have no record of the engine, they put me on to a local Honda agent who in turn advised me to contact you guys.

The only other information I have, if it helps, is that it is 499cc, manual tilt and trim and controlled by remotes.

Any information would be much appreciated.
