Help - Mercury Optimax 150 hp Alternator

Please Help, the alternator on my Mercury 150hp Optimax outboard engine has been pronounced dead. The cost of a new one has also nearly killed me too!!

Can anyone point me in the direction of a 2nd hand or refurbished alternator.

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Bug

Thanks for the replys, I will give both of them a ring. Unfortunately the alternator is unrepairable, a capacitor in the back of it has blown up
Cheers

I used these guys in the US.

Price including taxes and shipping to Ireland was still less than half price quoted at home.

I doubt it, most bits can be replaced by a specialist.
