( Help Needed ) Leaky Connector on Fuel Tank

Hi All
I have just noticed fuel vapours coming from the connector on my fuel tank.

Can I buy a new gasket for the fuel connector plate that is on the fuel tank, if so where would I buy one, or is there a solution you have to repair this,

I tighten the crews up as they were a little loose but still have the same problem.

I’d take it off clean up and get some thin cork gasket sheet make sure the screw holes aren’t too big or it won’t tighten down

jeffstevens,

Thanks for the suggestion on what to do, living here in Spain not sure where to buy the thin cork gasket sheet to do what you have said.

Is there a link on the web where I can buy a gasket for the fuel tank connector, if someone can let me know where I would be greatfull.

This may be the seal but its far too expensive and plus delivery.

Any old fashioned Spanish garage will have some cork gasket sheet to sell you, if not I have a roll of 2mm cork sheet I can cut you a bit off and post to you, size of an envelope should be more than enough.

Your probably right there Oldman,
I should have thought of going to a garage myself, will pop down to my local garage where I get my car serviced and sure they will be able to help me.
Hope the weather is good there and you are getting out on your KB350, what do think after having it for a while now, I was sorry to hear Fenlander could not get on with it, the good thing it has gone to a good owner which I am sure will be delighted with it.
