Help needed with a Mariner 60hp 2stroke

First post here, and I hope someone can help me out.

I have a 5.2m RIB with a Mariner 60hp 2 Stroke and a Mariner 4hp as auxilliary. I can find the serial number, production date (1997) etc etc on a neat plate on the mounting bracket for the 4hp .... but no such plate for the 60 ! All I can find is a small plate with 09793942 marked on it. Is this the serial ? Can anyone help with identifying the age / model of this engine ??

Also, I want to do the basic maintenance on the engines myself - can anyone recomend a good service / workshop manual for these Mariners? I want a hard-copy one, not an on line manual - a bad experience with a laptop and brake fluid when doing the landrover has put me off digital manuals !!

Many thanks in advance for any advice folk can offer

Yes that is the serial number
Your engine is a 1993 model year. 1st owner bought it on 14.08.1994

Its a 60ELPTO. (Electric, Long Shaft, Power Trim, Oil injection!)
You can buy a manual from you local Mariner dealer. Manual Part number is

90-817643R1

Great engine, should do you well.

It'll be a lot cheaper to print out the bits you need from a PDF manual.

Out of the proper manuals Seloc ones aren't very good in my opinion with poor quality pics. Clymer are better but are around 25 quid.
If you can, get a genuine model specific one.
