Help needed with Honda BF15 lower leg removal

Hi, can someone help me with the removal of the lower leg.I have disconnected the gear selector rod and removed the 4 bolts from the casing, however when I try and tap the casing it doesn't budge. Am I missing something?

I should say the engine hasn't been serviced for 3 years but has hardly been used in that time

Yup. Assuming there isn't a fifth bolt hiding somewhere then it's probably time for a block of wood and a modest mallet/hammer to start tapping around.
