help with alarm

I have a 2005 mercury 90hp carburated motor with oil injection. I was using it for the first time this year and my warning aslarm would go off everytime I would accelerate hard. when I let up on the throttle It would stop. If I strated off sloww and didnt push it I could get up to full speed just a lot slower. There was no hesitation in the motor and it ran perfect, it would sound like when the motor was calling for gas but it wasnt starving for gas, Im afraid mayby it was telling me it needed something like oil mayby. It pumped water fine so that wasnt it, it was only when I gave it a lot of gas. At first it would only beep briefly once or twice but after a bit of driving around it would beep continuously until I let up on the throttle, Any ides???
thanks

Check Oil level, if it's low then the acceleration might just trip the sensor in the tank and sound your warning buzzer.

RIBase
Low oil

My Mariner 90 (same engine I think) used to do just that when the oil level was a bit low.
