Help with Yamaha 25hp conversion

Hi all, can anyone help me ? I'm trying to convert my Yamaha 25 VMH from tiller to remote.

I'm finding it extremely difficult to find any info on which parts I require.

I spoke to a nice chap a lansdale marine who quoted a staggering £700 to convert.

I'm looking for all required parts inc steering, throttle and gear shift.

I don't believe it will cost 700.

If anyone can help I would be grateful.

Thanks in advance, Matt

RIBase
You only need a few bits of kit, and no way will cost £700, however it all adds up.

You will need a stainless steel steering drag link, 33c Teleflex cables (throttle and gear selection), Yamaha 701 single lever throttle (easily sourced second hand assuming engine is manual start and lift), and steering kit, such as Teleflex steering helm.

If you don't have console, to attach steering helm, throttle, etc, then that changes things - but anything is possible.

You'll also need some bits & bobs to connect your 33c gearshift & throttle cables to the motor.

Sorry, also are the throttle and gears controlled using one lever or two.

Thanks.

Up to you. The Yam 701 control box mentioned earlier is a single lever unit, but you can also get twin lever units if you prefer.
