Honda 130 Warranty??

I'm currently in the process of selling a Lencraft 6.5m Intruder with a Honda 130 on the back.

What I need to know is, is the engine still under warranty and how long til the warranty expires??

Engine Serial no: BZBE1008843
Engine yr: 2001

I know Honda 4-strokes come with 5yr warranties now, but did they come with them back in 2001.

There's nothing wrong with the engine, but if its still under warranty until 2006 it would be a good selling point.

Call your local Honda dealer with the serial number and get them to fax you back with what cover remains - you can then show this to your purchasers?

I see you've got an Opti and you had a honda. been there It's a better world with an opti isn't it. My understanding is that the 2001 engines did have a 5 year wa=rranty but it was an option!

Thanks Searider, makes sense to have proof of warranty for the buyer I guess. Will give them a ring.

Drove the Honda though and know what you mean, just doesn't feel like 130 ponies when compared to a 135 Opti. Don't think I'll ever buy a 4-stroke, unless the Verado goes on a diet maybe!!
