What a fuss. IMO the guy was never going to sea anyway. I think his wife was just allowing him a bit of extra playtime and then called him in when he broke his toys. My apologies if he has previously suffered life altering injuries - which would also explain it.

I was fairly shocked (I believe the modern parlance would have it as Affronted) when he admitted to setting his pet solicitor on the dealer without preamble. He lost me at "pleb".
