Honda 50hp circa 2004

I am worried about the warning buzzer in the remote on my Honda. It never sounds!

Now, this sounds good - the engine seems fine, warning lights are as they should be. However on my mate's Suzi the buzzer sounds when he turns the ignition on. This usefully confirms that the buzzer is ok.

I have had the buzzer out and tested it with 12v (as per manual) and it works fine.

So - is it meant to sound when i turn on the ignition? Or does it stay silent until engine overheats or oil pressure is too low?

Bet someone on hear knows the answer.......

Ian

Mmmm

Not a good design is it? It is usual to have some sort if test on critical items like the buzzer.

Hey ho, just hope it works when it has to!

Ian - apologies I misread your post.

When turning on my Honda did beep on the initial turn of the key, then when you turned the key to start engine the beep stopped.

Cheers
