Honda carb

My mates acquired a 2hp four stroke honda circa 1999. It's done max 50 hours but because it's had little use the carb has corroded (due to ether by all accounts...though I've never heard of this) making it unable to idle. I've checked out eBay and a couple of used one's on there.

Anyone heard of this before? Or anyone have a carb they may want to sell me.

Engine history is known to be accurate..so I guess the moral is using your engine will save you money longer term.

What sort of sib? I have a wetline, can't remember if it's a 230 or a 260 until I check it tonight, that is surplus to requirements.
