Honda Engine Key

Hi All

Can't find this in FAQs

I only have 1 key for starting my Honda 45hp engine, which, if in a moment of carelessness I should decide to chuck in the briney, I'm a bit stuffed!

Do I need to go & get my pants pulled down by Honda for a new one or would my local key cutter be able to sort me out?

Anybody had to deal with the same situation?

p.s. Dolphins in Falmouth Bay yesterday, very playful alongside Rib.

if the locksmith is a proper one then the answer is yes, they shoiuld have the blanks. a heel bar wouldn't.

I have to be honest and say thet I have only had mercury and Yamah keys cut but they worked fine.

I'm not sure if it is a fluke or not but all 3 of our Hondas use the same key

I wanted some keys cut 6 weeks ago, one for my car and one for the boat (Yamaha). went to a key cutters in Fareham that charged £5.50 per key but didn't have the blanks. I went to the local dealers (Yamaha and Kia) for new keys, that charged £5.25 and £4.50 respectivly.

Try your dealers.....You might be surprised!!
