How to lift a 60hp suzuki 4 stroke off the transom ?

Hi - How do you lift a medium sized engine without damaging anything - mines a 60hp Suzuki, weighs 105kg. I've got a motorised 2 post lift in the garage which will take the weight easily - more concerned about damaging anything on the engine casings, etc. I read somewhere bigger engines have a lifting eye on the crank ?.
Thanks again.
JIM

My Yam has an eye right on top, I would hope Suz puts an eye on theirs!

Have you had the cowl off to look?

My Mercury uses a lifting eye that screws into a threaded hole in the centre of the flywheel. Cowls off to use.
Looks like this:

A good bear hug and lift the little angel off then place it gently on the bench.

Job done

Under the cover of the Suzuki there is a fixed single lifting eye, easy lift
using this as well centred and balanced , all rigged up now. Thanks for the advice again, cheers.http://www.rib.net/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif
