I need an engine service

Hi. Been a while since I was on this forum. I'm back on board!! I've got a yamaha 60hp 4 stroke fuel injection engine. Approximately 16 years old. Can anyone recommend a marine engineer preferably in the south Yorkshire area? I really need it servicing.

Can't help on a service center...but some of the services are pretty easy to perform yourself, but I fully understand just getting the job done by someone else.

If the timing belt hasn't been done it should be done. If unknown, it should be replaced.

Speaking as another boat owning Tyke, no, there aren’t any outboard engineers locally. My recommendation would be to give Beeston Marina a call & ask for Eddie. He used to service my Evinrudes, but he also serviced other marques. Top bloke if he’s still in the game, but it’s been a while since I used him, so he may have retired or moved on.
