Looks more like a ducted prop than a true jet.

$7500 seems kind of steep to me; though I suppose if the drive appeals to you, it'd be worth it. You're probably not going to find too many jet outboards around.

Yes it's a ducted fan. True waterjet outboards do exist but they aren't very efficient.

Yamaha used to do one, but they aren't imported into the UK

They look similar in performance to other jets? A prop will always make more of the available hp
