I'm challenging You!!

Hi All

Thank you for those that assisted with my recent thread regarding my leaky tilt motor sump.

I have now found the issue, please see attached photo of the valve plug. There is a small hole corroded through the head. Apparently Suzuki did a warrant recall on this part some 9 years ago!! This engine obvoiusly missed the upgrade.

I'm asking to see if anyone can help me with a replacement part, Suzuki said i need to replace the whole unit!!

Model - SUZUKI DF60

Thanks in advance for your support

Regards
S

Whole unit as it the whole PTT or the vave assy?

Give Colin at Ardoran (Oban way) a call. He is a Suzi dealer. Never failed me when I had a DT25...

Other option - could you drill the hole out, tap it & loctite either a tiny (Like M2) screw in to block the leak? - then just file the head off & file to flush it & re - groove the screwdriver slot to get the valve in & out.

Call Mark at MB Marine 02380 388608, he's a real Suzuki geek, he'll know and he's just down the road.
