impeller replacement easy ?

hi
anyone replaced an impeller for a mariner 50hp 2001 2s, just wanted to know if it was a easy job i could do myself, i am mechanically minded (engineering back ground) and i have replaced a impeller on a mariner 2hp that was from the 80's which was a pig to do as it was corroded pretty bad. i will be testing my outboard this weekend and fingers crossed if i have set the muffs up right and it pumps has it should i wont have to replace it.

cheers

dead easy, just put it in gear before you drop the gearbox off - that means you can rotate the prop to line up the splines on the shaft when putting it back on.

Hope its easy... attempt no. 2 this weekend !

I did it the first year, thought it went ok, took it in to a proper mechanic a few months later and they did the whole 'oooh, someone's made a right mess of this' thing which put me off a bit.

There's videos on YouTube now and loads of advice on here....
