Intermittent stiff throttle

I have 4.8 Ribcraft with a DF60A outboard.

The Suzuki control box is side mounted and cables, which were replaced a couple of years ago because of permanent stiffness, are Ultraflex 33C.

The throttle is now perfectly smooth on dry land, and until we have been underway for a bit, when it then becomes stiff very difficult to make fine adjustments.

I end up having to 'nudge' it into position - not ideal.

Any ideas?

Could it be kinking somewhere? Disconnect it and see if it operates smoothly.

If you can't find a way to lube it, replace it.
