Is this the seriel number? (Yamaha outboard)
Is this the serial number on the head of this Yamaha engine? I'm trying to work out year (not legible on saddle sticker). Is that an A, making it 2002?

That's a casting number, the serial number is on a sticker like plate.

On my 2005 F115, it's on a rectangular sticker on the starboard side of the motor bracket.

Looks like this

Scrubb that I read it again :doh: they used to put a duplicate sticker on the cylinder block, very small about 5p coin size
