Johnson 140hp f/s

Intersted to know if anyone knows where i can get details on the fuel consumption of this engine through a range of revs, thanks

well the engine is exactly the same as the suzuki 140 4/s and they have fuel consumption figures on their website, however none of the boats they use for examples are ribs, and i find that i get better results on my humber than they do with their fibregalss boats!

I took all these measurements last weekend with my Suzuki DF140 on a Ribcraft 5.85. Using Garmin GPS and a Navman F2100 Fuel flow meter.

She does a smidge better than a nautical mile per litre nearly right across the rev range until you get to flat out at which point its a smidge under.

It peaks slightly around 4000 RPM where its about 1.3 or 1.4 nautical miles per litre.
