Hi, Does anyone know where i can get a manual for a 1979 4hp 2 stroke Johnson outboard serial number 4BR79D. Either an on-line or hard copy would do as i only want to see the set-up of the air in-take filter.

hi, this is an 1980 book. it will be the same really for your engine. Have a look at it. I am llisting alot more tech info in the next few days. let me know. post may be a little more to Ireland. cheers BARRY

Go to boats.net, or iboats.com, and look up the parts diagrams for free.

There is no filter for the air intake.
