Johnson 9.9HP - Advice required.
My engine isn't pumping any water so ordered a new impeller for it from ebay, all seems legit but the impeller won't fit over the drive shaft, I've tried it from both ends but no luck. Do you get different size shafts for these engines, I thought they hadn't changed much since the 70's. Mine is from 1984. I am now thinking about buying the whole water pump kit but don't want to do that and have the same problem with the impeller.
